From a photograph to a finished ornament
Custom work is most of what we do. This is the order it happens in, and roughly where your piece is when you ask us on WhatsApp.
STEP 01
Drawing
A bride brings a photograph, a temple carving or a piece from her grandmother. We draw it to the weight she wants to carry.
STEP 02
Die and wax
Motifs are struck from our own nakshi dies. Anything new is carved in wax by hand before it is cast.
STEP 03
Casting
Cast in-house in 916 gold, then filed and assembled. Chains are hand-linked so a haram lies flat on the saree.
STEP 04
Setting
Kemp, polki and emeralds are set stone by stone. Polki is closed-set in foil, the way it has always been done.
STEP 05
Finish
Antique matte, high polish or a mix. The last step is the one the bride chooses in daylight at the counter.
